When Bourke met Joe Woyjeck in Phoenix, there was an instant connection. After hearing about Kevin and the mission of the Kevin Woyjeck Explorers For Life Association, he immediately said yes to helping us this Giving Tuesday. We are deeply grateful for his generosity and heart.
One supporter and a guest will be selected to spend two days with Bourke, including: • Driving through Hollywood Blvd and the Sunset Strip • Lunch together • A personal, behind-the-scenes Universal Studios backlot experience • Riding around the lot in a golf cart with Bourke • A genuine Hollywood hangout that is personal, memorable, and truly unique
WHO KEVIN WAS, AND WHY THIS MATTERS Kevin Woyjeck was a Granite Mountain Hotshot firefighter who lost his life in the Yarnell Fire on June 30, 2013. He was the ninth firefighter in his family, following proudly in the footsteps of his father, Joe Woyjeck, a retired Los Angeles County Fire Captain. Being a Fire Explorer shaped Kevin’s life. It gave him purpose, direction, mentorship, and the path that ultimately led him to the fire service career he loved.
After Kevin’s passing, his parents, Joe and Anna, created KWEFLA to carry forward the values Kevin lived by: • Supporting young people • Opening doors that might otherwise stay closed • Providing mentorship, training, and real-world experiences • Helping underserved Explorers and Cadets pursue fire service careers • Funding gear, equipment, scholarships, and program costs
Every donation helps a young person follow the same path that helped shape Kevin’s dreams.

In today’s challenging times, we hope those lessons stay with them wherever life takes them.
